Partner Profile - Gordon L Sellors FCA

Gordon is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, qualifying with Deloitte’s in 1966, and is a member of the Institute of Directors.  Born in Manchester he has had positions in industry and commerce mostly as a financial controller.  He is a hands-on individual with experience in organising up to eighty staff and has owned and controlled businesses.  He has lived and worked in Gibraltar since 1988 and regards Gibraltar as his home.

Joining a predecessor firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as Financial Controller in October 1988 he was appointed Partnership Secretary within his first year.  Gordon inspired and led the merger with Coopers in Gibraltar, which led to the eventual merger with Price Waterhouse.

During his 17 years with the firm he organised radical changes in working practices which led to strong investment in IT and was in charge of the most advanced IT structure within the accounting profession in Gibraltar at that time.

As well as his other appointments in PwC he was Managing Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers Accounting Services Limited (PwCA), the outsourcing arm of the firm.    PwCA is authorised to conduct Collective Investment Scheme business by the Financial Services Commission and Gordon was an Authorised Person within that context.

Currently Gordon is also active in the following areas:

  • Finance Director of Vault Technology Services Limited, a company owning and operating a data centre in Gibraltar. See www.vault247.com
  • A partner in Quorum Consulting, an executive and non-executive director placement consultancy. See www.quorum.gi
  • A number of non-executive directorships in the subsidiaries of multi-national companies.

He was treasurer of the local Rotary Club for seven years and takes an active part in local affairs, and is particularly interested in health issues.
